Guerilla Advertising: Unconventional Brand Communication, Ty Montague, Gavin Lucas, Mike Dorrian

This book looks at the unusual methods advertisers have gone to to promote their company. The first use of guerilla advertising is the use of the MSN butterflies which were placed all over New York. This was a creative way to incorporate brand identity into everyday life, the repetition will force people to remember it and those who do not know about the brand will be curious to learn more about it. My other favourite are the images of two men "carrying" a window, the men are actually carrying nothing with the premise that the window cleaning service is so good, you won't be able to see the glass. Guerilla advertising is a very effective design tool and this book shows how it can be very cleverly incorporated into everyday life.
